I'm well on the case, I assure you. Sometimes my ideas exceed my grasp, but every once in a while, I pull off something big. I'll keep you posted. 2010 is going to be a big year for us, with our 30th Anniversary going on. I'm honestly incredibly excited about some of the things we're going to be doing to celebrate.

Do you have any customers that have been shopping at Acme since the beginning?

Phillip.

I'd have to ask Terry and Tory, but somehow I doubt it, only because they have moved a few times.

So, we're finally getting closer to the start date on construction of the new website. I keep going back and forth on whether we should have forums or not. To a certain degree, it's easier to maintain a Facebook, than it is a forum, but the forum allows for more in depth discussion. But I find every time I stop posting for any length of time, they slow to a halt.

Who, if anyone sees this, has any opinions on the matter?

Well as much as I love the forum you are right. It is easier to make announcements on Facebook. I am sure you have more then enough demands on your time that you have better things to do then to keep the forums running.

If you had a more active forum group then I would vote to keep it but as it is now I vote to cancel it.

Besides you can still revisit this idea later.

Phillip Suttkus.

So, I have decided to reverse my earlier decision to shut the forums down, and have instead decided to do exactly the opposite by enlisting past members as well as new people to help get them dusted off, up and running. Facebook and the other social networking sites are good, but move fairly quickly, with relevant topics constantly sliding down the page as new ones are brought up. I find that it tends to halt discussion a bit.

So, here we are, on the once proud and mighty Acme forums, determined to make them so again.

Aw Yeah! I now feel justified for never leaving the forum. I may post rarely but my loyalty knows no bounds.

Phillip.

Well, I appreciate it Phillip. I kind of hemmed and hawed back and forth as to what to do with them. But I use to really enjoy these boards. There were a lot of crazy people and conversations. We lost some of those subscribers to moving away, etc. Some people became friends in real life, and then had falling outs. Then we did a big reboot/wipe of the forums, just to get rid of some of the unpleasantness and it never really recovered. I can't tell you how many trades and back issues we used to move based on discussions here. I look forward to that again, because it means cool people reading cool stories.

Man, I have to say, New Comic Day being on a Thursday screws my mental schedule up more than any time change does.
